One of the most divisive figures in pop music will join one of the most divisive figures on television. Taylor Swift, the songstress many people love to hate, will team up with Zooey Deschanel, whose likable demeanor both on and off her hit show New Girl, is, for some reason, routinely called into question.
It seems Swift will drop in on the May 14 episode, where she'll "play a character named Elaine, who is an 'important guest' at the wedding of Cece (Hannah Simone) and Shivrang (Satya Bhabha),” according to Entertainment Weekly. Swift joins the likes of Nick Kroll, Olivia Munn and Jamie Lee Curtis, who have also guest starred on the current season of New Girl. We wonder if the show writers have any plans to work in a line or two about Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for Swift’s character.
