1. Rachel McAdams "is in talks" to star opposite Emma Stone and Bradley Cooper in director Cameron Crowe 's upcoming, and currently untitled, film. The production team is keeping quiet on plot details, but it's being reported that McAdams "will play a former lover of Cooper's character." Crowe also wrote the script for the film, reportedly a romantic comedy (what else would Crowe make?). It's set to begin filming in October. [ Deadline ] 2. In the least surprising news of the week, sneaker company Reebok has severed connections with rapper Rick Ross after the rapper was criticized for lyrics which discussed drugging and raping a woman. The rapper's apology/not-really-an-apology was apparently not enough for Reebok, which has used Ross to promote their brand in print and television advertisements. "While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse," a statement from Reebok said. The Guggenheim Fellowships have been announced and among the winners are Ben Lerner ("Leaving the Atocha Station") and Rachel Kushner ("The Flamethrowers"), who wrote two of the best books to come out recently, along with the great New York poet Anne Waldman and filmmaker Ira Sachs (" Keep the Lights On ").
