Photo: Zooey Deschanel Named as Boston Bomber Apr 20th 2013, 15:05 During the stressful final hours of the Boston bomber manhunt,  Fox News had a major faux pas.  They named New Girl actress, Zooey Deschanel as the Boston Bomber. An amusing caption error by FOX affiliate managed to draw some laughs during the final hours of the search for the suspect, Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev. The caption read, “Marathon bombing, he is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel.” Thankfully, they didn’t post a photo of Deschanel but instead posted a photo of the suspect. The screen caption was shared on twitter by Peter Ogburn, a radio show producer and writer, showing the mix-up with the comment, “Oh come on, Fox.” Followed by Deschanel who said, “Whoa! Epic closed captioning FAIL!” Ogburn later jokingly tweeted to Zooey, “So, you’re saying it wasn’t you?” There is nothing like some humor during a tense stand off with a killer to lighten the mood.
