Talk about a major closed captioning fail.

At the height of last week's massive manhunt for the second Boston Marathon bombing suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, one Fox station accidentally identified New Girl star Zooey Deschanel as the missing 19-year-old:

Radio show producer Peter Ogburn tweeted out an image of the error, writing, "Whoa! Epic closed captioning FAIL!," which The Soup host Joel McHale retweeted, adding, "Oh my." Deschanel eventually retweeted McHale's tweet and the gaffe went viral.

Kansas-based company Caption Solutions issued a statement on Wednesday apologizing to Deschanel, saying that its captioner "deeply regret[s]" accidentally typing her name during the broadcast.

That's all well and good, but who's going to get Zooey off of that FBI watch list? We kid, we kid.
